A short distance from Cusco in the beginning of the eastern slopes of the Andean mountain range, where the Tropical Amazonian Jungle begins, in a region bursting with biological life. This explosion of animal and vegetable life is caused by the proximity of the Andes range, which, on one hand, offers a certain protection owing to the relative inaccessibility caused by the wall of mountains and, on the other, by the large quantity of nutrien0ts that is carried by the rivers, gathered from the highest parts, and which supply the enormous food chain that begins at the Amazonian basin almost a thousand metres below.

This tropical region adjacent to the Andes is the region of the world in which can be found the greatest number of animal and vegetable species, where the concentration by square kilometre reaches unique levels.

Visitors are generally housed in jungle lodging, which offers basic conditions of comfort for the region in which they are situated. All accommodation is organised so that its existence and running cause the least environmental impact possible.
